Gamma Knife and Cyberknife Radiosurgery

George Noren

Dr. Noѓen, professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and director and chief of the Rhode Island Hospital Gamma Knife Center specializes in stereotactic radiosurgery. He has been doing Gamma Knife radiosurgery since 1974 and, in fact, pioneered its use to treat a variety of ailments, particularly acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas). Other indications for Gamma Knife treatment include meningiomas, pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, metastatic brain cancer, trigeminal neuralgia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and arteriovenous malformations. In addition, he is actively involved in delivering Cyberknife radiosurgery.
